This replaceable tip tool excels at working with all types of wood as well as acrylic, polyester, and resin materials. Unlike traditional turning tools that often require additional honing, the Carbide Pro is ready to use straight out of the box. It features a high-grade, USA-made solid tungsten carbide cutter crafted from advanced Nano Particle Carbide, hardened to an impressive 93 HRC to maintain an ultra-sharp edge for a long time. When the tip dulls, it can simply be rotated to reveal a fresh cutting edge, allowing continuous use.
The tool comes equipped with a 17-inch black stained Ash handle and a robust 8-1/2 inch long by 0.60 inch wide Chrome Vanadium steel blade, providing a balanced heft that reduces vibration and helps maintain control on the rest. Designed to work flat and level at or just below center, its blade edges are slightly rounded for controlled shear cuts. The acutely angled diamond tip features 15mm long cutting edges, and the overall tool length is approximately 22-1/2 inches. Included with the tool are a carbide cutting tip and screw, a hex wrench, and two extra mounting screws.
