Crown Razor Edge Bowl Gouge w/Side Grind, 1/4 in. is the Razor Edge version of Crown's 1/4 inch Bowl Gouge with Side Grind, designed specifically for bowl turners. Known as the "master tool" for bowl turning, it excels at producing both massive profiling cuts and delicate finishing cuts. The addition of a Side Grind, also called a fingernail profile, allows for the use of the "pull" cut technique and provides a larger cutting tip area to handle heavy profiling as well as fine, delicate shearing cuts. Crafted from a sophisticated blend of Cobalt infused M42 High Speed Steel and enhanced through a cryogenic treatment, these Razor Edge tools deliver exceptional edge retention and superior performance. The tool features a 14-1/4" long black stained hardwood handle with a copper ferrule, and an overall length of approximately 24-1/2". Made in England, Crown's Razor Edge Turning Tools are triple tempered and hardened to 66/69 HRC, offering unmatched durability and precision for woodturners.
