Gardner Bender Underground UF Wire Splice Kit is designed for waterproof splicing of UF cables ranging from minimum No. 14/3 and No. 12/2 up to a maximum of No. 8. This kit includes a set screw splice connector and an 8-inch by 1.3-inch diameter heavy wall heat-shrink tubing with a watertight adhesive liner. To use, simply strip the outside jacket and insulation from the conductors, insert the cable through the tubing, install the conductors into the connectors, and tighten the set screws. Then center the heat-shrink tubing over the connector and apply heat until the tubing conforms to the connector’s shape, ensuring a secure, waterproof seal. The kit comes packaged in a polybag with a header and is UL listed for safety and reliability.
